It seems that there’s no denying anymore that Thierry Henry will be signing for Barcelona within a near future. It’s reported that the spanish side will only have to put up 24 million euros upfront for the frenchman, how much he will get per year hasn’t been reported yet.

Sven-Goran Eriksson is again up for discussion when it comes to the Man City job, after both Mark Hughes and Didier Deschamps appearently turned the job down, new “could be” owner Thaksin Shinawatra has Sven on his top-shortlist. Reported also is that if prospective Shinawatra (who by the way has ALOT of assets frozen cause of fraud) take over the club, he’s willing to give his new coach a spending budget of about 70 million euros. Of course, with the connections between Michael Owen and Sven going back a long way since the national team era, it’s now reported that Owen (who Man City already chase, with or without Sven) will become one of Sven’s new building blocks. Owen has a release clause which makes any 9 million pound bid accepted.
