“The Turk” first showed me this while studying in Australia, can’t really remember if I’ve posted it before, but it’s well enough sick to post again. How’s this guy doing this? Impressive!

One of my Swedish friends from Bond University got a job at Rebtel a couple of months ago. I have to say that I didn’t think about it more than that, even though I checked his blog a couple of times just to keep up with the general idea of New Media Marketing and the different sources he recommended.
However, I have to say that after trying Rebtel a couple of times the past 2-3 days I’ve become quite fond of the concept and idea that Rebtel has. This is the basic idea of Rebtel:
But there’s more to it, you can also make a Smart Call which is when the real savings really kicks in I suppose. Here are an example of rates (without using the Smart Call which basically makes it all free) from Ireland to Sweden: To Landline: EUR 0.012, to Mobile EUR 0.089. Of course you’ll pay the mobile operator’s cost as usual on top of these international fees. If you on the other hand make a Smart Call, you’ll only pay the mobile operator’s cost as you would if you called someone within your own country as normal.
Quite nifty.
I don’t think I’ve understood it quite yet. Yesterday was my last exam – ever! Communication Strategies went quite alright and it was a pretty expected exam to be honest. After the exam me and a couple of the boys from class went down to Don’s for two quick pints, just to start up the night so to say. Then it was the “goodbye” dinner at Santorini with Joel, Rick and Melissa. Joel and Rick went to Thailand yesterday and will be going up to Sweden eventually, I’m pretty lucky that the parents are coming down this week, since everyone else is leaving. The turk left for Melbourne this morning but will be back on Tuesday, and on Wednesday Philipp is leaving for Germany, it’s going to be a sad goodbye.
After dinner me, Nils, Tom, Romain, Philipp and Mehmet (along with the rest of the uni :)) hit Don’s again, it was really packed, but nothing else was expected from the End of Semester Bash either. 3-4 hours and around 20-25 jugs later we found ourself standing in a 200m line to get into Melbas, it was a pretty easy decision not to go in and we went along around the corner to hit The Drink instead, god I hate that place – unfortunately the rest of the crew seem to like it. It was a BIG NIGHT anyway and today me and Philipp has been watching Entourage the whole day, followed by a sauna session with Nils and Tom which are also doing dinner tonight, nice! It’s on again!
Boom! The final assignment for Entrepreneurship was just handed in. It was a Feasibility Study for a company that we’d like to call BTravel, that’s about all I can say at the moment as we’re currently talking to an Investor in Dubai (!) to come up with the money to finance the different stages. It’s hardly the case that they’d cover all the risk (that is, all the money) that is needed as it stretches a bit over US$1M but a kick-off to start discussions is always nice. 50 pages down in a Feasibility Study might seem much, but that also means we have a solid ground if we decide to go with a Business Plan to be presented to Venture Capitalists or other Investors.
Anyway. Only one exam to go, ever. Oh, what a feeling, keep believing … schalala.
Skit.
